Washington Archibald High School Leads After Day 1

Following day 1 of the 36th edition of the TDC Inter-School Championships Washington Archibald High School had a one medal lead, ahead of Verchild’s High School.

Nine Finals were held on Friday.

Two records were broken; with Ashika Williams in the U17 female Shot Put, making a distance of 24.04m and Clairvon Kelly in the U17 male High Jump, with a leap of 1.92m

The evening also saw an opening ceremony and a March past, where Verchild’s High School was adjudged the winners.

Cayon High School won the Aquavita Cheerleading Competition after they beat out the Basseterre High who was the only other competitor.

The Gold medal count following Day 1:

Washington Archibald High School – 3,

Verchild’s High School – 2,

Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College – 1,

Charles E Mills Secondary – 1,

Basseterre High School – 1,

 

Cayon High School – 1
