An official from the department has stated that in an effort to ensure that customers’ accurate data is transferred to the new billing system to be introduced, officers from Water Department will be visiting customers over the next few months (April – August), to verify their information.
The department is also encouraging individuals to use this period to visit or call the present billing center at Central Street (465-2000) to ensure the accuracy of billing information.
Consumers are also urged to monitor monthly water consumption and fix all leaks in a timely manner.
As part of its Customer Service Division relocation and upgrade of Billing Department is currently seeking quotations for the purchase of hardware for use in its Customer Service Division.
Some of the required items the official included: Computers, Laser Printers, Server, Cash Drawers, Receipt Printers, Bill Scanners, Pressure Sealer and Battery Back-up.
The official added that bid packages may be collected at the Water Services Department as of 11th April, 2012, while the complete quotations should be submitted via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or delivered to the Need Must office by 20th April, 2012.
