West Indies Slump to Lowest ODI Ranking

Now the once-powerful Caribbean side is placed almost at the bottom of the ladder of cricketing nations. They are now ranked 9th in One Day Internationals.

The latest ranking by the International Cricket Council (ICC) rated Australia as the No. 1 team with 131 points, India 2nd with 119, Sri Lanka 3rd also on 119, followed by South Africa in 4th position with 109 points. England is in 5th with 109, followed by Pakistan 100, and New Zealand 91.

Bangladesh edged out the West Indies by a fraction to be placed eighth with 66 points and the Caribbean side limped into 9th place, also on 66 points. Ireland, with 39 points, placed tenth and Zimbabwe eleventh with 37 points.
