Thursday’s event followed last week’s, (21st October), other Finals, involving those contestants aged 6-9 years old.

Vakiel Herbert is the 2010 Kittitian Superstar Junior Champion for the 10 t0 12 age group.  Herbert, who emerged victorious from a field of five other participants, was presented his winning trophy by Rickie Browne, Marketing Executive for miyvue.com, one of the sponsors for the show.

Val Henry, Owner and Managing Director for miyvue.com, said he was satisfied with the outcome of the show, in two particularly ways.

“The finalists did a very good job by representing themselves, families and communities exceptionally, and it succeeded in bringing out that hidden talent, that we know was always evident,” Henry said.

“From a miyvue.com standpoint, we are also very convinced that it helped us in the starting process of branding this new company,” the Henry added.

The reason behind sponsoring Kittitian Superstar Juniors was also explained by Mr. Henry.

According to him, whenever young people are engaged in productive activities, it is important for companies such as miyvue.com to support such initiatives.

“When the producer for the show, ‘Chico’ approached us, we willingly agreed to associate the name miyvue.com with such an activity. We saw it as a means of developing young talent because we were very convinced that we have so much talent throughout St. Kitts and Nevis.” Those are just some of the motivating facts behind the sponsorship, Henry said.
