Verchilds High Celebrating 20 Years

This month marks the anniversary date of the Verchilds High School, which was established on 3rd September, 1992, therefore giving it 20 years of existence.

The school convened a special assembly on Tuesday, 18th September, to formally launch the celebrations. In attendance were those persons who served back then on the first staff while the (former) students who made up the very first graduating class that year, also made an appearance to share in the activities.

Officials from the school are calling on all past students, secretaries, workers, teachers, deputy principals, principals and friends of the Verchilds High, to join them as they celebrate. School administration officials said they would welcome the involvement of all, who may have ideas and suggestions for possible activities to be planned over the coming months.

Some activities already on the agenda include quizzes, reunion socials, award dinners, fairs and more.

The celebrations are being held under the theme, “Twenty years of nurturing and developing children to strengthen the communities we serve”

So far they have hosted a special service at the Faith Tabernacle Church, on the anniversary date, 3rd September.
