Woman injured in weekend political motorcade

The incident is said to have occurred about 5pm, when a motorcycle struck Rushel Tyson of Shadwell, who was participating in the motorcade. It remains unclear, at this time, just how the accident occurred, and according to the Police, she is unable to give an account of how she sustained her injuries. 

Meanwhile, Commissioner C G Walwyn advises persons participating in motorcades to drive responsibly and adhere to the traffic laws.

The commissioner wants passengers to refrain from sitting on the windows of the moving vehicles, which he said is dangerous. Also, he warns people not to project any part of their body through the window.

He urges motorcyclist not to maneuver through the traffic at speeds exceeding the pace of the flow of the motorcade, and for everyone to take due care and attention while on the road.
