The police are reporting that the young man who died on Saturday, 21st May, 2011, is Kevin “Yellow Man” Hanley who resided at West Farm.
A communiqué issued by the organisation informs that Hanley was hospitalised on Monday, 16th May, 2011 and a report was made to the police at about 10:30 on the evening of that day which indicated such and that he had sustained severe burn injuries.
An immediate investigation was launched and according to information the authorities had gathered, “at approximately 8:20 pm the said night a relative of Hanley visited his home and discovered him lying face down with severe burns to his legs. Hanley was then rushed to the JNF Hospital via EMS accompanied by the relative and was detained in stable but serious condition.”
The young man, according to reports, received medical treatment two days after his admittance to the Joseph N. France General Hospital. He however, lost the fight for his life and succumbed to his injuries at about 9:07 on the evening of 21st May, 2011.
The police communiqué informs that “the scene was processed by police detectives (and) an autopsy will be performed at a later date to determine the cause of death.”
The release also indicates that one suspect is in police custody and that that person is assisting with investigations into Hanley’s death and events leading up to it.
Police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
