The National Consultation on Youth, Crime & Violence will be hosted on the 25th & 26th September, and will narrow its focus on strategies to forge partnerships for crime prevention and social development.
A special presentation will be made at the forum by Founder and President of Operation Future, Police Constable Lauston Percival.
Percival will share details about the program’s work in the schools and communities throughout St. Kitts & Nevis.
He will focus his presentation on the work of Operation Future in the area of prevention education, targeting those who may be drawn to violent youth gangs and crime. CARICOM recognizes Operation Future as a best practice and wishes to share this practice with people of the Bahamas, said an official.
Percival intends to share Operation Future’s “Use your Brains: Stay Away from Gangs”, intervention programs such as “Back Against the Wall”, the public service messages created by Operation Future in partnership with Her Majesty’s Prison and future plans such as Operation Future’s Creative Youth Academy, which is to be launched in early November.
Operation Future is pleased to see the continued international interest in the work done by Operation Future here in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, and is certainly pleased to promote a positive image of St Kitts and Nevis in other nations as taking a proactive and creative approach to the issues of youth, crime and violence.
